A rider waits at a suburban roundabout just after sunset. The tail-light is on, flashing hard, but a car still rolls in from the side as if the bike is invisible. That is the problem with rear visibility for cyclists - many riders think they are covered because something red is blinking behind them, when the real risk often comes from angles a standard light barely reaches.
